Radio

My hats off to radio stations, they seriously use freedom of speech without fear. I have listened in on many interviews done via radio and it is so candid and honest, so heartfelt that it is not possible to ignore.
It is well documented that a few reporters and lawyers have had children taken away due to their involvement in CAS cases. It is also documented that CAS has and will remove children when families reach out to the media and go public.
What a fear of bad publicity CAS must have. To return a child and days later apprehend the same child because of a news story is nothing more then shocking.
To remove a child in the middle of a birthday party is horrific. To threaten families using children as tools is disgusting.

Derek and many other parents have turned to the media as a way to gain support. They air their dirty laundry candidly in the hopes that CAS will do the right thing. That perhaps they will be pushed to follow the law as we the public have no choice to do.
Child Protection services do not have laws, they create them on a daily basis to suit decisions made.
CAS, CPS and all other privately run agencies answer to no one. Not even you the parent.
The Government famously replies with a generic answer of `we can not comment due to privacy issues BLAH BLAH BLAH.
Privacy issues no longer exist in my view when children are dying in a corrupt system.
The media really are the only outlet to get a story heard, this is a sad state we are in when we are left with no choice but to reach out to thousands of people in the hopes of a fair trial.
Let`s not forget that a court order, proof and investigation are not needed to abduct a child. No order or following of laws or the charter of rights is needed to throw a child into a mental ward and medicate. No family history is needed to make rash and wrong decisions.
The media deserves some recognition when it comes to telling a story. I thank them for opening many eyes that were otherwise closed.
